The Howbarrow box scheme started back in 1998, delivering to a small number of households in and around the Grange Over Sands area of the Lakes. Word soon spread and before long we were delivering all over Cumbria, providing a complete organic delivery service and Farm shop from fruit and veg boxes to meat, dairy and even organic baby food!

More recently The Farmshed, another family run organic business from Lancashire, began delivering from Howbarrow Farm. This means that we can now provide an even greater selection of local, organic produce, with award winning service. We grow a great selection of salads here at Howbarrow and include as much of our produce as possible in the boxes throughout the season.

We source the majority of our other fresh produce from Cumbria and Lancashire, seasons allowing, and look after the environment every step of the way. All our produce has zero air miles and to offset our own inevitable carbon footprint we support the Sand Martin Wood project in Cumbria.
